The new BMW M5 takes driving dynamics into a new dimension. Making its debut in the sixth generation of the high-performance sedan is the new M-specific all-wheel-drive system M xDrive. Not only does this drive system enable the M5 to reach new heights of dynamic performance, it means that it excels in terms of everyday practicality and delivers supreme poise in all driving conditions as well.

The new products unveiled at the 2017 Frankfurt show highlight the status of BMW as a manufacturer of vehicles that transmit unrivalled levels of emotional appeal with their inspirational design, trailblazing innovations and the driving pleasure for which the brand is renowned. BMW is also showcasing the latest technological developments for the future of personal mobility, in which powertrain electrification, comprehensive digitalization and other advances in the field of automated driving will play a particularly important role.

The BMW Group presented its exciting new take on a BMW roadster at the Concours d'Elegance at Pebble Beach. Dynamic, progressive and an irresistible purveyor of thrills, the BMW Concept Z4 boasts flexible and compact proportions, a dynamic silhouette and an emotionally appealing use of forms. The attention-grabbing design study offers a look ahead to the series-production version of the car set to be unveiled over the course of next year, encapsulating the BMW Group's vision of a modern roadster.

The new BMW M5 (fuel consumption combined: 10.5 l/100 km [26.9 mpg imp]; CO2 emissions combined: 241 g/km) takes BMW M GmbH into new territory, with M xDrive all-wheel drive featuring in the high-performance sedan for the first time. This change of tack sees the M5 exploring new dynamic dimensions and offering greater everyday practicality in all driving conditions. The new car is committed to building on the tradition of a concept - the luxurious four-door business sedan with a taste for the race track - first glimpsed in 1984 with the original BMW M5.

The BMW Group has been a committed "local player" in the US market for a quarter-century: On 23 June 1992, the BMW Group announced its decision to build its US plant in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Continuous expansion of the plant with extensive additions and the decision to build the successful BMW X models in Spartanburg have made the plant the largest manufacturing facility in the BMW Group production network within the space of 25 years. During the ceremony to mark the anniversary, the all-new BMW X3 rolled off the production line in Spartanburg. More than 1.5 million BMW X3 vehicles have been delivered to customers worldwide since it was first launched at the end of 2003. The new BMW X3 will be launched in fall 2017.

The BMW i3 continues to build on its successful start to life in both the global new vehicle registration rankings and various major competitions. Most recently, the all-electric BMW i3 (94Ah) was crowned the winner of the World Urban Car Award 2017 presented at the New York International Auto Show. The i3 combines a vehicle concept developed from day one to provide pure-electric mobility in urban areas -featuring a passenger cell made from carbon fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP) -and powerful BMW eDrive technology with an extremely powerful high-voltage battery to increase the car's range by around 50 percent.

The BMW X3 launched the mid-size Sports Activity Vehicle segment when it arrived on the scene in 2003. More than 1.5 million units of the X3 have since rolled off the assembly line and now the third-generation model is ready to take over the baton.

The new BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo combines the long-distance comfort of a luxury sedan with the aesthetic appeal of a coupe. Its design embodies a rigorous process of development which has elevated both the functional strengths of this body concept and the car's sense of sporting elegance to new heights.
