In Dubai, the nation's largest city, vehicle density is the highest in the region. Based on this, it is clear that UAE consumers prioritize mobility and connectivity, which is why Chevrolet offers a selection of vehicles that provide seamless integration between their smartphone and their vehicle.

Starting from the 2016 and 2017 model year, Chevrolet is offering Apple CarPlay compatibility in 12 vehicles.

"At Chevrolet we recognize that in an era dominated by technology, always-on connectivity is almost second nature to UAE residents," said Abdallah Madhoun, Regional Sales & Marketing Manager, Chevrolet Middle East. "Today, across the Emirates, driving is a staple of daily life. With this in mind, we are providing drivers with a safe and easy way to access smartphone technology when they're behind the wheel."

Chevrolet's MyLink infotainment system, with phone integration technology, gives owners convenient access to Apple CarPlay while driving. CarPlay takes certain iPhone features and integrates them on the vehicle's display in a smart, simple manner. That allows drivers to make calls, send and receive messages and listen to music or podcasts right from the touchscreen or by voice via Siri. Apple CarPlay supported apps include Phone, Messages, Music and podcasts.

Many features can be controlled via voice commands through a button on the steering wheel, helping drivers spend more time with eyes on the road and hands on the wheel.

Using Apple CarPlay is simple in a compatible, a "Projection" icon on the MyLink screen is visible when a phone is not connected, then changes to indicate CarPlay when a compatible phone is connected via USB. Apple CarPlay requires an iPhone 5 or later.
