Escape the City in the 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe Z71 in its Element Off-Road or on the Streets

The popular Z71 package is in its element with specifically designed off-roading features for Middle East drivers

Chevrolet understands that sometimes the best way to connect with the things that really matter in life, is to disconnect from everything else. For drivers seeking to break free from the hustle and bustle of city living, the 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe Z71 allows them to escape the city, without having to compromise refinement for off-road capabilities.

The 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe is one of the Middle East's most popular full-size SUVs, known as a refined, safe and technologically advanced SUV. Combining the Tahoe with the iconic Chevrolet Z71 off-road package, the Tahoe Z71 can conquer the great outdoors as well as the city streets.

The Tahoe Z71 maintains its status as a premium SUV, with a 5.3L V8 engine helping make it even more capable off-roading than ever before. The SUV features a re-designed front fascia.

For off-roading enthusiasts, an improved approach angle has been added for conquering the steepest slopes and the high-strength skid plate protects the engine from damage.

Twenty inch alloy wheels provide drivers an enhanced grip and power distribution for better all-terrain performance. A Digital Center of Gravity meter shows the Tahoe Z71's current pitch and roll that gives the driver more precise control when taking the SUV off-road.

Chevrolet has long used the Z71 designation as the order code for 4WD or off-road suspension packages on its full-size trucks and SUVs - much like Z28 originally denoted a specific suspension package on the Camaro.

The Z71 package complements a chassis and suspension system engineered to deliver a quieter, more-controlled ride. All Z71 models feature an updated coil-over-shock independent front suspension design. At the rear is a five-link coil-spring suspension design, which enables optimal ride and handling through more precise tuning. Additional chassis and suspension features include:

  • A wider rear track that contributes to a more planted stance
  • Shear-style body mounts, which reduce body shake and enhance the feeling of structural stiffness and improve damping performance when compared with previous compression mounts
  • Twenty-inch standard wheels are a half-inch wider than previous models, reducing tire flex for improved cornering performance
  • Electric variable-assist power steering system that tailors steering assist to vehicle speed
  • Four-wheel-disc brake system with Duralifeā„¢ brake rotors that offer up to double the service life
  • Available automatic locking rear differential that provides greater traction when needed and greater driving comfort when it's not.

The 2016 Tahoe Z71 now features Chevrolet MyLink with phone integration technology, which displays content from the driver's phone on the multicolor MyLink screen.

With the wireless phone charging feature, a magnetic inductive charging system allows users to place their phone on a small mat on the center console, where it charges without the need to plug it in.

All 2016 Tahoe owners will receive a new level of customer experience courtesy of Chevrolet Complete Care. The comprehensive aftersales package promises additional value with competitive and transparent maintenance pricing; one-hour servicing; two days advanced booking; a regional three-year/100,000-km warranty; and four years of regional 24x7 roadside assistance.
