January 2015

Throughout the entire year, our team's agenda is filled up with a never-ending routine of motor shows, test drives, road trips, interviews, rolling news, weekend photo/video shoots, and the most challenging thing: deadlines. Yes I can admit always deadlines! I'm not that cranky. I adore what I do. But there's one good issue, December 2014, which stands out in our year with the favorite top 10 cars we drove. You must have read it last month.

So we welcome all together the 2015 year! January issue is quite a flat issue.

We start our issue with the all-new Ford Mustang and its 50th anniversary in Dubai. The pony was introduced on the Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building. Ford Executive Chairman Bill Ford capped the live-action event by delivering the iconic pony badge to the 2015 yellow Mustang on the 112th floor of the skyscraper. The event was viewed live around the world on YouTube as well as by approximately 10,000 people gathered in the Dubai Downtown area, overlooking the Dubai Fountain and Burj Khalifa.

We covered also Los Angeles auto show although a bit late on you. We picked the best launches that happened there. Check them out.

Our fresh start of 2015 has been dedicated to Audi. January 2015: Audi A6, S6 and RS6 models. Even though minor changes were applied but there is no doubts that the driving experience has been improved.

Some great debuts happened lately and we reviewed them especially for you. We start from the Cadillac ATS-V Sedan and Coupe variants, the 2016 Mazda CX-3 crossover and the Chrysler 300 facelifted model.

In the regional drive, our correspondent from Jeddah flew to Oman to lay his hands on the 2015 Infiniti QX80.

Moving to the editors' choice section, Ershad tested both Jaguar XFR-S and Nissan Pathfinder Hybrid in Dubai. I personally drove both Kia Soul and SRT Viper GTS during my short stay in Dubai. In Jeddah we tested also the all-new Mercedes C-Class. We always hope that you'll dig the cars we've selected, though we envision that feelings won't be common!

It's been quite a while, I would rather say years since we didn't do any long term test. We start this year with our long term tester in Dubai: the Chevrolet Silverado. Keep on following us for the upcoming months here and on our Facebook page.

Last month we had the opportunity to interview Issam Hibri (Kamal Hibri & Co) from ACDelco in Lebanon and House of Tuners' owners: Pierre Nercessian and Bernard Hatem (specialized in tuning all American vehicles).

In our connected car section, we brought you the future of Mobility by Bill Ford. As well as you can have a look on the winning vehicle of 2014 year's (MECOTY), Middle-East Car of the Year.

Enjoy this year's appearance, both here in our January 2015 print magazine and our online platform, see you next month!
