SEMA Middle East Business Development Program Set For United Arab Emirates

The Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) will host the sixth annual SEMA Middle East Business Development Expo in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on March 30-April 1, 2017.

The Business Development Expo affords Middle East buyers a chance to meet 40 U.S. SEMA member manufacturers, including those returning to another SEMA Middle East program such as Edelbrock, Borla Performance, COMP Performance, and Injen Technology and more than 20 manufactures traveling to the Middle East with SEMA for the first time.

"The SEMA Business Development Expo gives distributors and retailers in the Middle East a chance to meet one-on-one with executives from leading U.S. automotive brands," said SEMA Senior Director of International & Government Affairs Linda Spencer. "Buyers and media will have the opportunity to visit with American industry leaders in the SEMA Section of the Custom Show Emirates at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre on March 30 (trade only) and on March 31 (trade and public) and at informal networking events throughout the week."

The Middle East market features consumers who are looking for the latest products to personalize their rides and buyers who are eager for the newest American products for classic-car restoration, off-roading and street performance.

"The SEMA Middle East Business Development Expo has no better home than the UAE.  In addition to being the number one U.S. export market in the Arab World, the UAE is positioned as a gateway to markets throughout the region and beyond," said U.S. Ambassador Barbara A. Leaf.  "Our two countries share a passion for American custom cars which makes this expo a success for U.S. and Emirati companies alike every year."

"The Middle East region is a very dynamic and lucrative market for American businesses," Saeed Al Marzouqi, CEO-Custom Events, Abu Dhabi, UAE. "Opportunities here are abundant as the market is younger and have the funds and interest to buy the cool products sold by U.S. manufacturers. The SEMA Section at Custom Show Emirates is an economic corridor that not only connects businesses but people as well."

"The SEMA Middle East Business Development Expo is a great opportunity to forge new business partnerships with U.S. manufacturers and discuss ideas and products in person," said SEMA Senior Vice President of Operations Bill Miller. "The program makes it possible to build new business channels in the region and for retailers to introduce new products into the thriving Middle East market."
