Franck Muller Salutes the Spirit of the United Arab Emirates with the Introduction of the “Proud to be Emirati” Limited Edition 2016 Collection

After the grand success of the first edition of "Proud to be Emirati" Limited Edition Collection last year, Franck Muller, the master of complications has re-introduced the collection with new color and specifications of dial this year commemorating the UAE National Day to mark 45 flourishing years and the unification of the seven Emirates into one cohesive and strong nation. The collection is set to launch in December 2016 and will be available at the exclusive Franck Muller Boutique at The Dubai Mall.

Distinguished by the eternal nature of its sources of inspiration, the "Proud to be Emirati" limited edition collection exquisitely marries historic legacy with futuristic aesthetics, standing proud to share United Arab Emirates' revolutionary vision.

Intricately designed on the timeless Franck Muller's Vanguard Classic Collection, the dial bears the emblem of UAE, The Falcon; with the words "Proud to be Emirati" embellished on the back case. The case of the exclusive edition watch celebrates the birth of the United Arab Emirates, with all seven Emirates, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain and Ajman imprinted along with a statement "United As One"; symbolizing the unity and strength of the UAE.

The falcon in the UAE emblem symbolizes force, courage and the strength to successfully surmount all trials and tribulations, as well as paying tribute to the 2,000-year-old Arabic tradition and culture of falconry. All the colors of the flag; green, white, red and black, are considered Pan-Arab colors signifying unity, peace and purity, prosperity, sacrifice, power, dignity and authority.

Franck Muller as a brand can relate to the journey of the United Arab Emirates on a fundamental aspect, both have experienced exponential growth, brought about solely through dedication, passion and a strong commitment to hard work. Since its establishment in 1991, in the village of Genthod, close to Geneva, Franck Muller and co-founder Vartan Sirmakes have always strived to create a brand that inherently deserves its quickly gained worldwide recognition through the institutionally embraced pillars of unique craftsmanship, innovative technicalities and superior quality. In the years since its founding, Franck Muller has become a must-have aspiration for watch experts the world over.

In the same vein, the United Arab Emirates which will this year be celebrating 45 years since its establishment by Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, has managed to morph itself from a barren desert inhabited by nomadic albeit resourceful Bedouin tribes, fishing villages and date farms in 1971, to a teeming golden metropolitan city renowned the world over for innovation, growth and modernity. Franck Muller and the United Arab Emirates have a great deal in common and it is precisely these similarities that Franck Muller will endeavor to honor with the launch of the "Proud to be Emirati Collection".

This season the "Proud to be Emirati Collection" comes in two materials - carbon and rose gold– 45 pieces each of every magnificent material to represent each of the 45 glorious years of UAE as a country.
