Royals attend the second day of Gulf Concours event at Burj Al Arab Terrace

Royalty attended the second day of the prestigious Gulf Concours event at the iconic Burj Al Arab Terrace, where the 2016 Bentley GT3-R won the "best bespoke limited edition" award. The winner of the "best modern bespoke" was the 2015 LaFerrari.

The event, which celebrates automotive excellence with some of the world's rarest and most valuable cars, attracted the region's most discerning collectors and car enthusiasts from across the UAE during the first two days.

More than 40 of near priceless, classic cars mixed with the ultimate in modern, bespoke luxury and supercars including Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Limited, Mercedes, and Ferrari, were assembled in the Burj Al Arab Jumeirah Terrace.

"We are delighted to invite some of the most bespoke brands to showcase the best and most iconic cars in the world," said Rory Heron, Managing Director of Thorough Events Singapore, the event owners and organizers.

"Our aim is to bring people together from across the spectrum to indulge in their automotive passion, and we have no doubt that this event will become one of the most noted Concours d' Elegance events around the globe."

Gargash Enterprises showcased the exceptional AMG G63, AMG S 63 Cabriolet, and the 2-door 1958 Mercedes-Benz S 220 Ponton. This range of vehicles is a living testament to the Mercedes-Benz commitment of delivering best-in-class technology and performance time and time again.

Mr. Wassim Derbi, Marketing Manager of Gargash Enterprises explained: "While the three vehicles are each special in their own right, we wanted to highlight the beautiful 2-door 1958 S 220. With both exterior and interior restored by the Mercedes-Benz Classic Museum Centre in Germany in 2008, the car's V6 2219cc engine produces 105hp and runs at a top speed of 160kph. These statistics are no less than remarkable for a car of this age, and it's this passion for excellence that has allowed Mercedes-Benz to deliver cars as great as the AMG G63 and the AMG S 63 today."

He continued: "Gulf Concours is always a great opportunity for us to get exposure which really matches the brand identity, and we look forward to a repeat opportunity in 2017."

Gulf Concours is set to become one of the world's most noted Concours d' elegance events by attracting the wealthiest collectors and connoisseurs from within the region and the world.
